This life quote is by far one of my favourites since I've been in remission from acute Leukaemia because it really sums up the journey I've been on. During the brutal treatment which meant 6 months as a hospital in patient my life certainly felt bleak and grey with little hope of any reprieve. Yet… Continue reading Need inspiration? A Life Quote to inspire you on those tough days
I came across this quote recently by French poet Marcel Proust, I've always been a lover of quotes, through good and bad times I have often found that they speak the very words I have in my own mind. Words have always been a part of me, ever since I was a young child when… Continue reading Be grateful to those who lift you up
Why am I constantly battling against the clock...running out of time every single day? (That's a rhetorical question really), I go to bed every night, setting my alarm, hopeful that the next day will be the one when I finally get it all done. I must an optimist because I do this pretty much… Continue reading How I deal with time pressures in my life
In the past the concept of mindset was not something I had given much thought to and it was not something I particularly believed in either. However, over the past couple of years my beliefs have changed considerably and it wasn't until recently that I started to understand that this process is known by some… Continue reading How cancer can change your mindset in a positive way
When I was very suddenly diagnosed with blood cancer my life went into a spin, with a whirlwind of emotions, thoughts, questions and fears so I can safely say that it was hugely life changing and I didn’t know where to turn. For me being kind is not a choice, not something I have to work hard at, not something I think twice about... it comes from deep within my soul. But I pity those who assume this makes me an easy target, vulnerable to their petty games and badly hidden jealousy, for I have insightful eyes and… Continue reading Kindness is not a choice…but beware
Delighted & honoured to be featured on this fab blog…Blonde Write More & I have so much in common & met on social media, I couldn’t be more pleased to have ‘met’ 😁
One of the many things I love about social media is accidentally stumbling across an inspirational creative person. This normally occurs when you are feeling a little blue or feeling a bit down. The universe nudges you in the direction of this special person because it feels you could benefit from some of this person’s positive light and sparkle.
This was what happened when I bumped into Anna Mamwell on Twitter. She’s an ambassador for Bloodwise UK, a Leukaemia survivor and a blogger. On her blog ‘Becoming a Butterfly in remission’, Anna talks about her inspirational life journey so far, her thoughts on being a busy working mum and her creative pleasures.
Anna and I connected over Twitter, we shared stories of our personal experiences with cancer and discussed our creative lives. I knew she had to appear on my blog so I persuaded her to do so.

Recently, as I am part of the Macmillan online community due to having Leukaemia, the debate about statistics came up. It prompted me to consider statistical significance and the various statistics definitions out there to explore how I feel about them after they have became more than just numbers to me now. They are an… Continue reading Statistics ~ How relevant are they?
After watching the Bad Moms movie starring Mila Kunis, Kristin Bell, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Christina Applegate I just had to write this post. I picked this movie as I needed a 'Chick Flick' with laughs and something to relax in front of. ~~~ Little did I know that I would end up feeling so inspired,… Continue reading We are all members of the ‘Bad Mums’ Club!
